On December 19, 2019, we learned that our petition for vegan options has been tabled in the National Assembly! You can watch the petition being tabled by our sponsor, Jean-Lesage Sol Zanetti’s deputy:
Thank you to all the 1298 individuals who signed the petition: it’s thanks to you that we took this step! We would like to thank some of our partners, such as the Montreal Vegetarian Association, who helped us share the petition within the three-month window allotted to share it.
Mr. Zanetti’s office informs us that they will discuss with the person in charge of parliamentary work for Québec Solidaire at the National Assembly, and that they will keep us informed of their thoughts, and the steps to be taken to ensure the success of an eventual bill.
