Vegan Option Canada (VOC) is a nationwide grassroots political activism organization that aims to ensure vegan options are available in a variety of areas, particularly vegan food options.
Vegan Option Canada (VOC) is a registered pan-Canadian non-profit organization and a citizen-based political activist organization that aims to ensure vegan options are available in a variety of areas including food. Specifically, our movement is working to amend Canadian laws to obtain a mandatory vegan option in all public dining under federal, provincial or municipal jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, all hospitals, universities, seniors’ centres, schools, etc.
Its founding principles are horizontality, decentralization of power and the pragmatico-compassionate approach, which is based on the values of compassion, non-violent resistance and rationality.

Description of Tasks
- The coordinator’s goal is to advance the Vegan Option Quebec project. He/she is the driving force behind the movement in QC.
- Communicate with the team at QC about future priorities.
- Start an official provincial petition from our web petition.
- Find a sponsor within the Provincial Government
- Be part of the VOC CoCom
- Develop the provincial strategy
- Interact with other Coordinators at the city, provincial and national levels.
