What an amazing event, that the MONTREAL VEGAN FESTIVAL 2018 was!  

“Hello did you hear about Vegan Option Canada?… We are a grassroot political advocacy movement that wants to bring awareness to the fact that access to vegan meals is a Human Right! We call on our politicians to our politicians to implement a mandatory vegan option in all public cafeterias under federal, provincial and municipal jurisdiction. This includes all public hospitals, universities, senior centres, schools, and many more. Our first project is this federal petition we will submit at the Chamber of Commons in January 2019. We are here to collect signatures.”

The members of Vegan Option Canada repeated those words hundreds if not thousands of times during the two days of the festival. It was exhilarating to talk and interact with so many people who agreed that the VOC movement is legitimate and indispensable.

It was awesome to meet and talk to new allied associations. opportunity to personally thank some of the businesses that have helped us from the beginning, such as 57Cal, which sent out eight sheets of petitions, the equivalent of 1,600 signatures. WOW!  

Above all, we have no words to express our gratitude to all those who came and listened. Thank you for the over 400 signatures. Thank you for your support. Thank you for listening.

Special thanks to the 30 future VOC members who want to participate and help our movement grow and spread. We look forward to seeing you at our next meetings.

A big thank you to all the organisers and volunteers of the MONTREAL VEGAN FESTIVAL 2018, that for the past few weeks worked for free an additional 20 to 50 hours to make this event possible.
